In January 2004, as a result of difficult weather conditions, Marek's car skidded and hit a tree. The results of the accident were tragic. Due to serious psychophysiological injuries Marek suffered a complete paresis in his entire body. A father in a family of four, now he requires constant help himself. He receives a meagre disability benefit which is not enough even for necessary rehabilitation.
