On November 1, 2006 at night, Krzyś together with his sister and her fiance was going to Łagiewniki to pray for the decased father. Unfortunately, they did not manage to reach their destination. As a result of difficult weather conditions the car skidded and crashed into a truck coming from the opposite direction. The boy's sister and her fiance died on the spot, and the 14 year old boy barely survived. In critical condition, he was transported to a hospital in Kielce where the doctors saved his life. However, serious injuries rendered this lively teenager disabled and completely dependent on his mother. Despite that, he still dreams and believes that his hard efforts will help him overcome the disability and stand on his own feet. His mother does her best to make this dream come true. Now she appeals for help in raising funds to cover the costs of a surgery in Teheran or Ecuador. The surgery will allow to regenerate the spinal cord using the donor's stem cells or bone marrow. Such a surgery is very expensive and costs 20-30 thousand dollars. This is a considerable sum of money but both the mother and the son beliveve that there is a chance!
